As I look back on this past year, I am filled with gratitude for the privilege of serving our state and the people who give it its heart. Every day, I am inspired by the individuals who step forward —quietly and boldly — to lift up their neighbors and strengthen the fabric of our communities.

Mississippi remains one of the most resilient, creative, and community-minded places in the nation. What makes our great state extraordinary is not only our heritage or hospitality, but the people who continue to invest their time, talents, and hope in the place we all call home. I believe wholeheartedly that every person has the capacity to spark change, whether through a single act of kindness or a lifelong commitment to service.

This year, our work has been guided by that belief. We have strived to nurture a culture of volunteerism that is inclusive, accessible, and meaningful. And as we look to FY 2026, our vision remains clear: to empower Mississippians of every background, age, and ability to serve their communities in ways that reflect their passions and meet real needs. The challenges ahead are real, but so is our collective strength. Together, we can continue building a Mississippi that is vibrant, connected, and full of opportunity.

But we cannot do this work without you. Your voice, your experiences, and your commitment shape the future of our communities. You know what your neighborhoods and communities need to flourish — and we want to learn from you, partner with you, and walk alongside you as we move forward.

Thank you for your dedication, your trust, and your belief in our shared mission. I am confident that, together, we will continue to create a brighter, stronger Mississippi for all!
