Event Type

Spring and the warm weather are upon us! At the Clinton Community Nature Center, we are getting ready to celebrate Spring with our annual Nature Day. Last year, we welcomed over one thousand guests to this event.

This year, the Clinton Nature Center would like to invite you to participate in Nature Day, scheduled for April 15, 2023 from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. This annual event is free to the public. Guests are invited to find their “natural” groove as they explore interactive educational booths, native plants for sale, engage in crafts and activities, listen to live music, and indulge in concessions by local vendors. Visitors of all ages can enjoy learning from wild animal rescuers, experienced educators, and environmental experts about ways to help nourish our native species and local ecosystems.

We need volunteers to help make this event successful. Volunteers will take on any number of tasks from helping educators set up their booths, assisting musicians moving their gear to the amphitheather, maintaining trash cans and bathrooms paper supply, providing water to educators and volunteers, running a craft booth, reading a book at Storytime and assisting guests move purchased plants to their vehicles.

Volunteers can email: ccnaturecenter@gmail.com to sign up for one or more shifts during the day.

Shifts:

6:30am-9:30am (set up and run)

9am-12:30pm (run)

12pm-3pm (run and clean up)
