Volunteer Opportunity: So JXN Homebuyer Fair
Dear Volunteer Mississippi,
We are excited to announce the upcoming South Jackson Homebuyer Fair on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Jackson Convention Complex (105. E. Pascagoula Street Jackson MS 39201), and we need your help to make this event a success! This event is a fantastic opportunity to assist potential homebuyers in their journey towards homeownership, providing them with valuable resources, education, and support.
Attendees will enjoy an expo and presentations by local professionals from Trustmark Bank, Bank Plus, Operation Hope, Housing Education & Economic Development, and many more!
Volunteers are requested for the following areas:
- (4) Registration Assistants: Welcome attendees, manage sign-ins, and distribute event materials.
- (2) Workshop Coordinators: Welcome and assist guest speakers with seating and setup, manage attendee seating, and distribute handouts.
- (2) Information Booth Attendants: Provide attendees with event information, direct them to various stations, and answer general questions.
- (3) Kids’ Zone Helpers: Engage with children through activities like coloring, story time, toys, puzzles, and board games ensuring their safety while parents participate in the event.
- (2) Logistics Team: Help with setup, breakdown, and ensuring the event runs smoothly.
- (1) Emergency Response Coordinator: In the event of an emergency, coordinate with local emergency services. Certification in First Aid, CPR, or other relevant medical training preferred.
