If you participate in this research study, you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire that will take less than 10 minutes to complete. After completing this online questionnaire, you will be briefly trained on how to collect and sample marine debris in a classroom and/or field setting which will take about 90 minutes (per each protocol) to complete.

There are currently two separate protocols to survey: microplastic filtering (laboratory setting) and shoreline debris data (beach setting). You may be recruited to complete one, or both, of these protocols.

All volunteers will receive training at the MSU Coastal Research and Extension Center. If you’re interested in participating in this study, please fill out the registration below or by scanning the QR code above.

For questions, comments, or concerns regarding this study please reach out to Jessi James (jessi.james@msstate.edu) or Dr. Eric Sparks (eric.sparks@msstate.edu).
