Dust off your Cowboy Boots, Its Time for a Rodeo!
July 28th and 29th the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson will host the Inaugural Keath Killebrew Memorial Rodeo. The rodeo will honor the life and legacy of Keath Killebrew a Delta farmer who tragically lost his life in December, 2021 while in the process of negotiating establishment of a farming community in Paraguay, South America. The Killebrew Foundation (501C Non-Profit) was established to honor Keath and is committed to the promotion of farming in Mississippi and to seeing the life and mission of Keath come to fruition. The family has decided now is the time to implement the Killebrew Ag School for the future of farming in MS. The performances Friday and Saturday night will be action-packed with traditional rodeo events and award winning entertainment. For more information, see Facebook and Instagram. Friday July 28, rodeo begins at 7 p.m. Volunteers will be needed from 5:30-9:30 p.m.. Volunteers will be provided with a T-shirt and will have a brief orientation and review the seating chart. Duties include: scanning tickets at the door, escort attendees to their seats, selling T-shirts and hats, and floaters to give other volunteers breaks etc.
