{Community Service Hours for students are: four (4) hours per performance and I ask that they bring their community verification paperwork with them unless there’s an email that is sent to me directly from the student and or school.}
2023 Nutcracker Performance Dates and Times are:
- Friday, December 1 – 22 ushers are needed | Usher time to arrive: 6:00 pm | Time of performance: 7:30 pm |
- Saturday, December 2 – 22 ushers are needed | Usher time to arrive: 2:00 pm | Time of performance: 3:00 pm |
- Sunday, December 3 – 22 ushers are needed | Usher time to arrive: 2:00 pm | Time of performance: 3:00 pm |
*ALL* Ballet Mississippi Nutcracker Performances are at Thalia Mara Hall in downtown Jackson, MS.

This is Ballet Mississippi’s 29th year of performing The Nutcracker.
- Friday, December 1 – ushers wear black for the evening performance.
- Saturday, December 2 – ushers wear Christmas sweaters for the matinee performance.
- Sunday, December 3 – ushers wear Christmas sweaters for the matinee performance.

NOTES:
- If you are a student that needs community service hours – each day (Friday, December 1, Saturday, December 2 and/or Sunday, December 3); it is for 4-hours per signup spot; so if you sign up for 2 shifts then it is 8-hours of community service and if you sign up for 3 shifts then it is 12-hours of community service. And please bring your community service paperwork and a pen with you for each shift so that I can sign your volunteer form.
